Registration for kindergarten needs to occur at this time so the necessary number of kindergarten teachers and student materials are ready for your child’s first day of school.
Please be sure to bring with you: your child’s birth certificate and your child’s social security number.
Up to date immunization records including preschool boosters need to be on file in our school nurse’s office when school begins in the fall as required by state law.
An early childhood screening is required for all students starting kindergarten. Children who attend Head Start are screened while in that program. All other children are screened by the Virginia School District. You may schedule an early childhood screening by calling Laura Johnson, the Early Childhood Screening Coordinator, at 749-5437, ext. 4104.
Please call the Parkview Office secretary at 218- 742-3801 if you have any questions.

Click on the SchoolMall web link below to shop on line and help our school earn cash.
www.SchoolMall.com
Dear Parents,
Our school is participating in the SchoolMall program. This online program helps our school earn cash without having students sell door-to-door, collect money or deliver products. Over 200 merchants, including Sears, Target and WalMart.com, have joined together to offer up to 50% of sales to our school when Parkview parents, families and friends do their online shopping through SchoolMall.com.
To shop, simply go to www.schoolmall.com and select our school. We hope you enjoy the SchoolMall website.
Please share this information with your friends and relatives as anyone in the world can help our school earn money by going to the School Mall website and selecting the Parkview Learning Center before they do their online shopping.
As always, the students and staff at Parkview thank you for your continued support of our great school!
Sincerely,
Michael Krebsbach, Principal

Parkview Learning Center serves the pre-kindergarten through third grade students of Virginia Public Schools. The school first opened in 1995 and currently serves 440 students. Parkview has a wonderful and supportive PTA that is active in helping our students achieve their potential.
Reading, writing, spelling and math are priorities. Science, social studies and health are many times integrated to provide relevant and meaningful experiences for the child. Each child attends music, physical education, computer and art classes weekly. Parkview has two state of the art computer labs for students to use.
The entire school works hard to teach its students the beginning basic skills of Reading, Mathematics, and Language Arts as it contributes to the school district’s efforts to be an “Academic Powerhouse”. At Parkview Learning Center we also teach our students to be respectful, responsible, self-disciplined and honest.
Accelerated Reader is a supplemental reading program that encourages and supports student reading of library books. This program has been enormously successful for students. Parkview staff believes that every child will be successful.

Parkview Learning Center has received a $750.00 grant from the ExxonMobile Educational Alliance program to support the school’s technology program. Mike Hippolt of Plaza Mobil in Virginia MN, worked with school officials to secure the grant, which is one of 2400 available to schools across the country served by Exxon or Mobil stations. The grants were made possible by funding from the ExonMobil Corporation.
“The Parkview Learning Center works hard to make learning interesting and fun.” Said Mike Hippolt. “As a Mobil retailer, I am proud to help the young people of our community.”
The ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program is designed to provide Exxon and Mobil retailers with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to neighborhood schools. ExxonMobil believes that, as members of the community, local retailers are best qualified to work with local educators to help identify schools and programs most in need of support.
